Specific Job Description International Business Development (IBD) Director/Deputy for Air and Missile Defense (AMD) in Dallas, Texas. ? This position reports to the Vice President of International Business Development for AMD. ? Lead a diverse team of IBD professionals in the pursuit of new business for a major geographic region with multiple individual country pursuits. Proactively coordinate the team?s activities, pursuits, opportunities and integration. Direct the team and coordinate their activities in support of business goals. Retain direct responsibility for selected pursuits within the region. ? As Deputy to the Vice President, provide internal functional coordination, task and opportunity management, strategic advice, and personnel oversight. Manage the day-to-day administration of the organization and substitute if the VP is not available. ? Advise senior MFC leadership on the strategic direction of the line of business. ? Serve as the Pursuit/Capture Lead for opportunities involving air and missile defense products, logistics support and follow-on opportunities in multiple countries; extensive travel is required. ? Closely coordinate with Program Managers, their staffs and other functional organizations. ? Liaison with Domestic Business Development, International Licensing, Finance and other functional support areas. ? Identify adjacent business opportunities; establish and execute the strategy to capture those opportunities. Interface with customers and shape the opportunities, taking into account requirements, existing capabilities and funding availability. ? Develop and maintain productive business relationships with relevant current and potential international organizations, partner companies and suppliers. ? Coordinate activities with appropriate US government offices and Country Teams to garner and sustain their support and to ascertain current status of initiatives within the US Government. ? Secure required Department of State export licenses to market products internationally. ? Monitor Foreign Military Sales contract negotiations with the US Government and participate in Direct Commercial Sales contract negotiations with foreign customers. ? Develop and manage input for the company?s Long Range Operating Plan. ? Develop overhead, capital and new business acquisition expenditure requirements. ? Conduct business in strict compliance with all corporate and company command media and within applicable state, federal, and international regulations.
