International  Business Development Director - Fund Management

Our client, an Investment Management company, is recruiting for the position of Director of International Business Development. The successful candidate will  be responsible for promoting sales and client retention across Europe and Asia.

The Role
-  Develop and implement institutional product platform
-  Develop relationships with consultant community as well as existing and potential clients
-  Manage business development and relationship development activity
-  Identify and target sales opportunities with existing clients
-  Focus on asset growth through effective marketing
-  Work closely with marketing team to develop appropriate materials
-  Liaise with portfolio managers as required
-  Seek out networking opportunities both externally and internally
-  Ensure timely and accurate updates of investment data and analysis
-  Ensure the compliance requirements of each client are satisfied

The Candidate
-  Strong knowledge of investment industry and at least ten years of investment experience
-  5 years of sales/relationship management experience within the institutional investment sector
-  Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance or otherwise relevant field
-  MBA degree or CFA designation advantageous (or working toward CFA designation)
-  Ability to develop and execute a sales driven business plan
-  Complex sales process skills / Strong research and analysis skills
-  Understanding of institutional market and technical buyers/influencers
