A growing element of our business is delivering compensation administration services to our clients. Among other offerings, this service includes analyzing, collecting, calculating, managing and reporting worldwide components of our clients’ employee compensation.
Responsibilities for the International Compensation Manager position include:
- Evolve this business from a strategic perspective
- Lead, plan, develop, supervise and organize the team from a tactical and strategic perspective
- Manage the business model and its evolution for the compensation administration service
- Serve as a manager, team leader and mentor to the staff. Be responsible to ensure the client team produces quality deliverables on time
- Perform to client expectations, including satisfaction and performance measures
- Develop proposals and other business-related activities
- Research and resole compensation questions/discrepancies
- Work with the client’s tax preparer to answer questions on earnings, remittance of foreign taxes, tax equalization and settlement payments
- Submit appropriate totalization letters to the U.S. Social Security Administration
- Manage or perform quality reviews on the assignee’s compensation documentation. Complete the tax-bridging process; maintain electronic compensation files and print compensation reports
- Manage or coordinate tax authorization list preparation with the client and/or tax preparer
- Manage the “point person” for payroll and related professionals to coordinate the process (e.g., due dates) and to answer questions
- Manage the completion of year-end compensation summary and verify information with W-2s; correct statements as needed
- Manage the tracking of the status of all payroll, host and non-payroll date for each assignee
- Manage the timely and accurate processing and delivery of hypothetical tax, allowance and lump sum payments, payroll-related advances, home country housing deductions, etc.
- Manage the reconciliation of payroll data against payroll registers; resolve discrepancies
- Participate and assist client-serving professionals in meeting client deliverables, service expectation, business development, client transitions and department objectives, as needed
- Identify and communicate ideas to make the compensation process more efficient
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree In Accounting, Finance or other business related field
- Licensed CPA, Attorney or Enrolled Agent designation preferred
- 8 or more years’ tax experience, with at least 5 years in expatriate and foreign national tax compliance, tax equalization policy implementation/consulting, and management of international assignee populations of multi-national clients
- Must be familiar with the individual income tax issues and tax law, including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
