INTERNATIONAL HR (Global Mobility) Job in Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands Spain

ROLE;

To continue supporting the business in achieving its ongoing growth on a global scale, there is a requirement to appoint an International HR Specialist, Mobility / MA within the Sector HR team in the Palma Head Office. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to work in a challenging role within a truly international environment, and at an attractive location. THE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

HR TRANSITION PROJECTS/ MA
• Actively manage the HR process in the acquisition of new companies (due diligence, drafting of new management contracts, identification and management of labour law issues in collaboration with legal advisors, harmonisation of reward schemes and HR policies, communication).

INTERNATIONAL LABOUR LAW
• Support the senior HR team in the preparation of management contracts under multiple jurisdictions, provide legal advice on diverse topics, such as termination of contracts, liaise with local advisors, and implement decisions.
• On occasion, work on projects involving employee representative bodies such as European works councils, presenting transition projects.

GLOBAL MOBILITY
• Management of all international mobility cases within in the Sector, ranging from ad-hoc short-term project assignments to permanent transfers of senior managers. This includes the preparation and negotiation of assignment letters and international employment contracts, the design of new reward packages, and the management of international tax, legal, social security, and visa issues, in co-ordination with external providers and internal contacts, internal accounting procedures, as well as the counselling of expatriates.
• In this role, act as point of contact and expert advisor for the current community of about 60 expatriates, their managers, and the HR Business Partners of the Sector.
• Review, definition, communication and implementation of global mobility policies with a view to achieving consistency and clarity for stakeholders, and promoting international mobility
• Involvement in the definition of international reward programmes and policies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• HR professional with at 3-5 years relevant experience in an HR consultancy, international law firm, or as an HR Specialist in a fast-paced multinational company.
• Experience in international HR should cover exposure to HR practices and the legal and market environment in several countries (ideally beyond Europe).
• The candidate should have had experience in managing global mobility cases, international contracts, and HR aspects of MA activity in a global context with a certain degree of autonomy.
• The successful candidate holds a university degree, ideally in Law/Labour Relations and/or Business Administration.
• Excellent communication skills in the English language (written and oral), preferably on native speaker level. Knowledge of Spanish is a definite plus, any other relevant languages an additional asset, as is experience through having studied/worked abroad.
