International Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund – Buyside Equities & Mezzanine Credit – Seeking Private Equity Associates
A leading US Multi strategy hedge fund in London is looking for a top-rated bulge bracket MA Analyst to join their hybrid equity credit Special Situation Fund investing in debt transactions and equities. The fund has 4 funds investing in Long Short equities, Special Situations, CLO and Mezzanine Strategies. The fund has offices in London and New York with an AUM of 9 Billion across both offices. The role will see you report to the Managing Partner who oversees the deals across the fund and has over 15 years experience in both New York and London across US And European Bonds.
You will be responsible for monitoring of direct equity and debt investments into public securities and resourcing and generating new ideas. You will also be leading all parts of the transaction process including due diligence, negotiations on terms and credit documentation, and the preparation and presentation of investment papers to the investment committee.
Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for analysing primary and secondary investment opportunities in equities, special situation, mezzanine and debt transactions
· Cored in-depth company valuation, extensive due diligence and financial modelling
· Strong technical skills in analyzing and modelling of the underlying companies, with good knowledge of the debt financing market
· Exposure to a number of distressed situations such as debt restructuring and covenant resetting
· Source, analyze, diligence and manage execution of selected distressed investment opportunities
The ideal candidate will have plenty of transaction experience in MA at a top-tier Investment Bank prior to moving to bulge-bracket Priavte Equity at Analyst to Associate level.
The role will see you use your LBO modelling skills to execute high level transactions across the capital structure. The team is currently made up of 3 investment analysts who have all come from top Private Equity firms and educational backgrounds and have developed and refined their skills in modelling and analysis to become some of the most valued analysts in the fund.
The role is challenging and will provide you with a very steep learning curve from day one and therefore only the best Investment bankers will be considered. After the first two years you will be quickly promoted to Senior Analyst where you will have the opportunity to manage your own investments and start your track to Portfolio Manager.
