International Project Manager

Job Description
The International Project Manager's (IPM) primary responsibilities will be to project manage the Expression content localization process and drive the intellisense localization process for all projects in the Developer Division of the team. The IPM will need to engage with an Expression product team to understand the overall plan, process, build and publishing of the UE content to establish the most optimized localization process from end to end. The IPM will need manage the intellisense process and work with other IPMs and IPEs to include this area as part as the overall localization plan of Visual Studio and related products.
Core Responsibilities:
- Project manage the User Education localization content of the Expression product
- Work with Expression product team to drive localization requirements
- Represent localization team in Expression product team planning
- Drive and manage Expression User Education Localization handoff, handback, Build and Publishing.
- Understand internal authoring environment, produce wordcount and analytical data for budgeting and planning purposes.
- Prepare and manage the localization production of the Visual Studio intellisense files.
- Work with the Visual Studio UE IPM to ensure intellisense localization is completed per schedule.
- Analyze and maintain the extent of localization for each intellisense grouping.
- Implement all piloting tasks in preparation of handoff.
- Check-in intellisense files from vendors and ensure files are properly rolled up into the product build process
- Triage and resolve localization bugs.
- Contribute to the content of the localization kit.
- Maintain up to date information on the localization team web site.
- 1-2 days working offsite after settlling in.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience working in the software localization industry.
- Strong knowledge of User Education engineering processes.
- Experience localizing software products into one or more languages preferred.
- Basic scripting.
- Strong project management required.
- Independent, self-motivated, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain key contacts outside of our localization group.
- Strong technical background; a degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field preferred.
