Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Partner and having significant interaction with the US partners and the executive board, you will have responsibility for running the Regulatory function for the group and its subsidiaries and clients.
• Key responsibilities include leading and advising clients on international trade including Asian trade , foreign investment policies, foreign currency control, taxation issues and regulatory requirements, and investment rules and regulations.
• You will consult with various Chinese authorities on the clients behalf including;
o Administration of Industry and Commerce
o State Administration of Foreign Exchange
o China Customs
o AQSIQ
o Quality Supervision Bureau
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of China customs and trade.
• Experience of managing large teams in multi-national organizations.
• Possessing at least 10+ years post qualification experience, gained from China regulatory and custom practices
• Strong client facing skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing complex analytical tasks.
• A proven track record and previous experience for a Chinese government/customs office is also preferred
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
