International Tax Manager (m/f) – Zurich area -(100%) recruitment

Our Client

Our client is an international services provider for FMCG companies. Due to recent growth and expansion, we are now looking for a highly qualified International Tax Manager to join our client’s growing Worldwide Tax and Treasury team.

The role:

Your responsibilities will be mainly focused but not limited on:

• Manage local taxes and cross-border tax matters for International companies including but not limited to income, value-added and withholding taxes.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies with regard to International operations in order to minimize the Company's effective tax rate and cash taxes.
• Oversee and support US GAAP and local country tax provision reporting, tax compliance and tax audits.
• Oversee and support forecasting activities including implications of taxes on cash flow, US GAAP and local country reporting.
• Coordinate tax planning for acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations.
• Interact with local country finance teams, US and other tax personnel and external service providers.

The Profile:

• 10+ years of international tax experience, including substantial exposure to local tax in multiple European countries and cross-border transactions as well as examinations by local taxing authorities.
• 5+ years of experience working for US-owned multinational corporations and strong knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting processes and administration; strong experience with European principal structures and associated transfer pricing and VAT matters.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing income tax returns.
• Experience with capital structuring transactions and associated tax implications.
• College degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance (law degree, advanced degree, CPA or foreign equivalent desirable).
• Fluency in English, plus the ability to work in at least one European language (preferably German).
• Strong desire to work in a highly dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
• Solutions focused and skill working with parties having conflicting interests.
• An excellent work ethic, solid written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability and willingness to travel within Europe and possibly Asia, Latin America and the USA.
