The Company currently operates more than 600 retail stores, located primarily in high-traffic shopping malls, lifestyle centers, and street locations across the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and also distributes its products through the Company's e-commerce website, www.express.com.

Job Summary 

The Visual Manager will manage the visual merchandising process, communication, and execution follow up for Franchise and International stores. He/she will establish a business to business Service Center to provide franchisees and International company stores with critical visual direction, communication and visual elements.

In partnership with the Visual Operations team the Visual Manager will publish and maintain a visual manual while providing seasonal visual guidelines. The role will serve as a conduit between the International team and the brand.

Essential Tasks

Develop and execute Brand-right, sophisticated and elevated visual merchandising solutions for franchise and company owned International stores, including the full integration of product, marketing and visual elements.

Establish business to business Service Center to provide franchisees and International company stores with critical visual elements.

Publish and maintain visual manual that includes basic Express concepts in terms of mannequin types, presentation guidelines, and visual do's and don'ts.

Outline, communicate, and support visual training for franchise and International stores while protecting brand integrity through review of execution at the store level in stores.

Serve as conduit between the International team and the brand.

Essential Requirements

*         Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

*         Experience: A minimum of 2 years corporate visual merchandising experience at a manager level required, patterned to industry-leading specialty retailers and involving the same scope of responsibilities. Experience managing large projects and/or teams preferred.

*         Strong visual merchandising and creative skills

*         Ability to interface with multiple levels of management and departments

*         Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational expertise

*         Global cultural awareness and sophisticated fashion sense and style required

*         Strong vendor relationships and knowledge of material production preferred

Travel Requirements

*         Up to 5 international trips per year; each trip can last 1 - 2 weeks in duration (up to 20%)
