Tillamook Cheese is looking for an online “connector” who will actively use social media, blogs and other online tools to cultivate engagement between our fabulous fans and the brand. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally connects people online and off, provides excellent customer service, and who excels at thinking and communicating creatively. This person should have a passion for exploring the online world and should be curious about what is next for this marketing channel. Beyond simply social networking and blogging, this person must become a passionate brand steward for Tillamook.

Responsibilities:

· Execute and evolve the Tillamook Social Media Strategy

· Support and protect brand by cultivating meaningful relationships via day-to-day management of social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Foursquare and other relevant Web 2.0 sites)

· Execute and evolve the Tillamook Blog Strategy

· Manage the Loaf Life Blog content calendar, edit and update blog posts, integrate blog content through all marketing channels

· Work across departments to ensure proper messaging is executed online and that brand “voice” accurately represents goals of the larger organization; establish consistency of message and voice across multiple marketing channels

· Support consumer relations and work hand-in-hand with our CR dept. by listening to consumers, reading between the lines, and responding in a timely manner to online inquiries/ requests

· Prepare reports, monitor and track conversation trends for management team

· Support overall marketing initiatives by helping translate offline programs into the online world

· Additional responsibilities may include online copywriting, researching the latest online trends, creating content for other marketing initiatives, site content updating, and other online marketing related tasks


Qualifications:

· 2-4 years professional work experience

· Should have active accounts across key social media sites including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube

· Must have exceptional traditional writing and grammar skills and a flair for using "social media speak"

· Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly

· Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills

· Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-past, ever changing field

· Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas

· Comfortable with online tools such as Google Analytics, Radian6, Tweetdeck, WordPress, etc.

· College degree preferred in liberal arts, communication, journalism or new media

· Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to expand skills and contribute

· Cheese-eating is a plus!
