Internship – KOREAN SPEAKERS recruitment

ISS Governance Services, a subsidiary of MSCI Inc., is currently seeking KOREAN RESEARCH INTERN for the upcoming Korean proxy season who is able to work FULL TIME from January to March 2012. This position is based in Melbourne.

Responsibilities:

•Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write research reports on publicly traded companies in Korea;

•Issue proxy vote recommendations for shareholder meetings of the companies in the Korean market;

•Develop market expertise in corporate governance, investment, and shareholder issues gathered through fundamental research and engagement with company executives, institutional investors, and government/regulatory/listing authorities; and

•Search through country publications to obtain proxy materials; contact companies to obtain proxy materials.

Education and Experience:

•Economics, Finance, Business, Law, Political Science, or any related courses;

•Recent graduates, senior, sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply. Experience in corporate governance/investment analysis and research is a plus.

•MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL-TIME WITHOUT VISA RESTRICTIONS in Melboune

Skills:

•Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in both Korean and English;

•Strong analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues;

•be analytical and detail-oriented, have a keen sense of judgment, and be goal-oriented;

•Proficient in the use of web-based and Microsoft Office applications;

•Work independently, take initiatives and interact with the other team members; able to work under stressful situations.
