The MSP430 microcontroller is one of the lowest power microcontrollers. To improve further we continually need to analyze the power consumption of our new and existing devices. The main task of this internship is to evaluate the power consumption of a new MSP430 derivative in great detail. This includes writing test programs in C and assembly language, measuring the power consumption and documenting the results.
Targeted start-date of the internship is November 2011 for a duration of 3 to 6 months.
YOUR QUALIFICATION:
· Pursuing a Degree in electrical engineering, engineering physics or equivalent education
· Knowledge in microcontroller architectures
· Interest in embedded systems and embedded programming
· Interest in mixed signal measurement techniques
· Experience in programming (C and Assembler), preferably on MSP430
· Good verbal and written English skills
