As the Intranet Webmaster on the Corporate Employee Communications team, you will be part of a team that delivers intranet and internal communications through a variety of online channels. You will lead/build our technical solutions sites, work with internal customers across the organization and lead initiatives to help us evolve our internal channels.

You are passionate about user-focused systems, enhancing the employee experience and streamlining processes through technology. A self-starter, you have strong problem-solving skills, and you’re ‘naturally wired’ to figure out how to integrate potentially disparate applications into a cohesively functioning platform.

Secondary responsibilities include assisting with intranet content development duties as required and providing Records Management support in day-to-day site operations, as well as promoting Information Management Governance for the corporate intranet.

The Intranet Webmaster is responsible for constructing, developing and integrating content into the intranet site as well as maintaining related online properties. Responsibilities include:
• Design intranet pages using interface best practices (accessibility, usability) including templates, graphics, animation, and functionality. Create or work with multimedia content (photo galleries, slideshows, videos) as embedded content.
• Develop web page infrastructure on web content management technology, employ navigation schemes consistent with site taxonomy to ensure efficient information retrieval, coordinate with the content owners on content publication, establish and enforce content standards.
• Develop innovative ways to reach various audiences in a manner that responds to different learning needs, as well as geographical and cultural considerations. Develop processes for just-in-time communication delivery of important announcements, policy changes, and communiqués.
• Resolve bugs and broken links, create and enforce site standards, coordinate with internal partners to monitor web server and site performance, review web log files monitor visitor usage to identify opportunities for site enhancement, respond to and / or route user feedback, create and enforce site service delivery commitments, create workflow processes.
• Support content contributors with technologies, processes and user interfaces.
• Site evolution – Aid in developing and executing the site’s long-term vision, support and evolve the incorporation of collaborative technologies such as blogs, forums, and wikis.
• Provide a platform to deliver employee information communication for mergers and acquisitions. Build and support specific communication solutions for acquisitions as necessary, and work with acquisitions to migrate internal content.
