Invention Analyst – VC Firm, Sydney Based recruitment
Our client is a venture capital firm with HQ based in US and teams across the globe.
The Sydney office is now seeking potential research scientist, management consultant or an engineer within Information Technology space as an inhouse Invention Analyst within the Cloud Computing space.
As an Invention Analyst, you will
- Develop strong working relationships with external inventors especially those in academic and research institutions to help our client maintain a strong network of invention sources
- Analyze and evaluate submitted inventions and establish purchase recommendations on behalf of the firm
- Participate in Invention reviews with International colleagues to determine whether to select invention for patenting
The ideal candidate should come with a good blend of a outgoing personality and a proven technology background (ideally in Cloud Computing).
You need to have
- 2-5 years of experience as a management consultant within the Technology stream, scientist, engineer in ICT or employee in the information and communications industry.
- Deep technical skills and fluency with information technology developments especially as they relate to the development of Cloud Computing and the future of data centres
- An understanding of both hardware and software technologies
- An established track record of developing relationships within technical communities
- Have an established network of relationships with professors, researchers, software developers and hardware experts
- Must have a minimum of a Masters degree (Ph.D. preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Energetic, outgoing with outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Desirable: knowledge of patents and patent application process.
