Job Summary:
Maintain inventory planning and supply chain strategy to drive organization to operational excellence in customer service levels, order quantities, inventory turns and investment.
Job Responsibilities:
•Maintain and update:
Backorder report
Fill-rate reports
Manufacturing requirements report
Supplier on-time performance report
Inventory status report
EO Reports (Service Production)
Cash Template (Service Production)
SQDC (Service Production)
Other reports as determined by management
•Ensure forecasting tools are providing the highest level of accuracy. Coordinate on-going enhancements and maintenance of inventory planning systems.
•Review and recommend options for excess and obsolete inventory in service and production.
•Participate in special projects as assigned to support business strategies.
•Review, manage and maintain inventory levels to optimize inventory turns and maintain an overall 92% line item fill-rate.
•Performs all other related duties as required by management.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment preferred. Some college coursework with at least 5 years relevant experience will qualify.
APICS certification a plus.
Position Requirements:
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
•Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Must be able to handle more than one task at a time.
•Thorough understanding of MRP or DRP systems, planning and forecasting theory, inventory management and distribution planning.
•Proven problem-solving skills.
•Motivated team player with strong strategic focus.
