JOB DESCRIPTION --TITLE: INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER

DEPARTMENT:              INVENTORY

REPORTS TO:              PRESIDENT  

 

  GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate daily inventory receivings/disbursements among all branch warehouses. Bill customers.  In general, verify inventory valuations, accuracy.  

 

Management of:

Assistant inventory sales processing clerks 

 

Works with:

Logistic services, purchasing, branch managers, and other personnel as directed of Allegheny Plywood Co. Inc.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage receivings/counts.

2. Manage transfers and returns.

3. Manage inventory counts and adjustments.

4. Track, verify, and authorize freight invoices.

5. Monitors and follows up on current backorder sales orders.

6. Schedules inventory counts.

7. Back up invoicing, mail, dailey deposits, and regional transfers

8. Do vendor rebates for product lines over existing warehouses

9. Coordinate Allegheny Panel product production orders

10. Do special projects as needed.s.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

 

1. Keep inventory obsolencense/damage to 0.5% of total  inventory value on yearly basis

                                                                    0.5% or less   = A

                                                                  0.5%- 0.75%    = B

                                                                  0.75% or more = C

                

 

2. Keep inventory losses due to theft, mistakes etc. to 1.25% of total value of  inventory:

                                Losses between 0- 1.25%   = A

                                    “                 1.25% - 2%   = B

                                    “      over 2%                    = C

 

3. General Attitude/ Attendance   Excellent = A

                                                           Good = B

                                                           Fair/Poor = C
