POSITION SUMMARY
Consistent with the Strategic Corporate Objectives, perform diverse customer service functions including but not limited to: shipping confirmation processes, planning and scheduling raw materials, tracking raw material and finished goods inventories, assisting with cycle counts and various inventory control measures, service failure investigations, various related duties and clerical functions to firmly establish CertainTeed Gypsum as the Preferred Supplier.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Plan and schedule raw materials.
• Track and manage raw materials inventory.
• Keep enough safety stock to avoid possible stock outs.
• Plan and schedule finished goods inventory.
• Assist with ordering raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Understand Bill of Ladings and Pick tickets.
• Work closely with all departments to keep track of raw material usage and new raw material products used in the plant.
• Work closely with Customer Service Manager and raw material suppliers.
• Understand environmental concerns involved with raw materials.
• Ability to read and interpret MSDS.
• Forklift certified.
• Ensuring Monthly Cycle Count Compliance = 100%.
• Willing to interact with all departments on Inventory issues.
• Keep accurate records and documentations on cycle counts.
• Track current inventory level by product type, monitor available warehouse space, and monitor daily and future demand.
• Investigate discrepancies and determine root cause.
• Internal Controls Compliance.
• Other tasks as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedule production, shipping requirements and trace both incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintain work area in a professional manner.
• Provide assistance to other team members as needed
• To provide ideas to further the growth of the department.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Requires a high school degree.
• Effective written and oral communications, listening skills, ability to organize and retrieve information, and display adaptability.
• Requires computer skills and must be familiar with Microsoft Office products, such as, Excel, Word, Outlook.
PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Some college preferred and previous experience in inventory control within a manufacturing environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in a 24 hour, 7 day a week manufacturing plant environment, with limited HVAC, exposure to dust, chemicals, temperature changes and noise. Minimum of 40 hours per week, additional hours may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to spend 6 to 8 hours per day standing and/or walking on plant floor, safely climb stairs to various levels within manufacturing plants and construction job sites, regularly lift 10 - 15lbs and up to 50lbs as necessary, climb on and off of forklifts and willing and able to go up into a man-lift, not being afraid of heights. Must also be able to stoop, navigate rough terrain and wear mandated personal protective equipment per areas accessed.
