Inventory Control Manager

Currently, our Procurement team is seeking a Full-Time Inventory Control Manager, in our Ottawa ON office.
Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Global Procurement, this position plans, directs, controls, coordinates, and evaluates the inventory control activities of the company. Will determine data collection analysis and determine inventory cycles.
Duties Responsibilities:
· Develops processes, systems and tool in conjunction with the Global Information Team to support inventory global functions.
· Lead continuous improvement process of IM processes to ongoing effectiveness and efficiency for Inventory Forecasting and Planning.
· Drives profitable growth sales growth through strategic management of inventory
· Provides analytical support to inventory/supply chain management and staff.
· Responsible in achieving inventory turns, cycle-count audits, fill rates, quality control, KPI’s, and inventory replenishment
· Performance and monitoring data entry and all additions, modifications, and deletion of inventory
· Reconciliation of all monthly and annual inventory accounting transactions
· Creates programs to build good relationships with Suppliers and Internal Customers.
· Management and control of physical inventory and contract manufactures.
· Interact and influence suppliers, operation departments, product line management, program management and sales in identifying and implementing strategic inventory control management strategies.
· Executive of the analysis to develop inventory management strategies, policies and procedures
· Responsible for regular production and distribution of performance KPI’s.
· Participation and development of demand and supply product strategies.
· Monthly identification, analysis, reporting and disposition of inventory reserves.
· Travel as required.
Qualifications:
· Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Access;
· Previous experience with Syspro would be an asset
· Experience in data extraction;
· A minimum of five years’ experience in an operational, supply chain management, inventory environment;
· Previous experience working with a finance team;
· Strong analytical skills;
· Competence with inventory costing, cost accounting;
· Initiative, high energy level;
· Strong demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with plant personnel, finance, product lines;
· Excellent communication and leadership skills;
· APICS certification would be an asset;
· Ability to travel;
· Meet Controlled Goods requirements.
· Possession of or ability to obtain Canadian Government security clearance to the level of Secret II.
