POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for complete inventory control from point of delivery through shipment to end-line customer and all aspects therein. This position is responsible for storage design based on velocities, efficiencies and seasonality’s. This position will monitor, audit and correct all process’ and procedures pertaining to the movement of inventory. The Inventory Control Manager will build a warehouse team motivated to exceed corporate goals for accuracy and efficiency. This position will hold staff members to the highest degree of thoroughness and accuracy in record keeping and inventory control. This position requires excellent motivation, attendance, punctuality, attitude, and a stellar work ethic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintains inventory through receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising executive management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels above the company standard of 98.5% accurate by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage systems.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Plans staffing levels in accordance with expected receipts to ensure key corporate inventory standards are attained or exceeded. Coordinates with Human Resources Manager to achieve proper staffing levels.
- Develops and delegates the implementation of improvements to inventory control processes and Procedures.
- Develops and implements tracking and reporting tools for the inventory control department’s performance accomplishments.
- Develops and sets staff performance goals for productivity, quality, attendance and other key success indicators.
- Writes and administers staff performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Conducts hiring and promotional interviews.
- Ensures proactive and responsive inter-departmental, intra-departmental and external communications in order to meet or exceed all Motosport service commitments.
- Develops next level supervision by coaching, counseling, disciplining and recognizing employee’s performance in planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to effectively oversee the daily job tasks of their assigned team members.
- Ensures accurate and relevant reporting on key Inventory Control initiatives.
- Supply Feedback to Director of Operations for reporting purposes.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. .
- Promotes and enforces all safety regulations. Supports the safety committee by ensuring all needs are addressed and meet a resolution timely and effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.A. or B.S. in Business Management.
- 2+ years of Inventory experience
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
