Department Description

This position is within the Investigations and Controls team, who have responsibility for three core areas of the IO Reconciliation operation, i) Investigations, ii) Account Maintenance, iii) Controls and Reporting

The Investigations team research unapplied Nostro breaks with agent banks, and work closely with internal lines of business to ensure timely allocation of funds. If a business cannot be located the funds are returned to the remitter.

The Account Maintenance team are responsible for the complete account opening, closing and amendment process for the accounts which are under IO Reconciliations ownership. This involves regular contact with all the key businesses which IO Reconciliations support.

Job Description

The Controls and Reporting process performs a secondary control and validation check on the primary controls performed by the Reconciliations teams.
This involved ensuring that the teams have taken the right actions within the control framework, across a multituse of processes, and escalating and challenging when these requirements when not met.

This is a very interesting, diverse and challenging role, with varied responsibilities across a wide range of operational activities.
The role supports key departmental change improvement projects/initiatives.
