INVESTMENT ACCOUNTANT recruitment
The role is for an Investment Accountant and the role holder would be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient administration and accounting service to clients and internal departments.
All applicants must have previous fund administration experience for example NAV, valuations or pricing. Fund accounting experience is beneficial.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of allocated clients’ accounting information in accordance with departmental and team standards and FSA regulations, including regular reconciliations of cash/securities and income and schedule preparation.
- Ensuring accurate information is sent to clients, consultants and/or banks within the required deadlines and any queries are answered promptly and in a professional manner.
- Maintenance of records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date.
- Liaison with internal departments, custodians and clients to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner and a high level of service is provided, escalating any issues to Team Leader where appropriate.
- Providing input to Team Leaders on system or procedural improvements/problems to be raised at the communication/team meetings.
- Involvement in company/department/team projects aimed at enhancing the service provided.
Core Skills:
- Numerate, accurate and conscientious.
- Computer literate.
Core Requirements:
- Previous experience of fund administration, fund accounting, cash reconciliations is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good team worker and flexible in approach.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- IOC (previously IAQ) qualified or a willingness to work towards it.
