Waterland employs 50 professionals working out of offices in Bussum (the Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Warsaw (Poland). Within this Tier1 company we are currently recruiting an Investment Accountant for the Central Services team who will be part of a dynamic environment and a team of professionals. The Central Services team is located in Bussum and consists of seven specialists who are responsible for all reporting, accounting, legal, tax, investor relations, HR and IT functions of the Waterland group. The Investment Accountant will function in the Controlling Department under supervision of the Financial Controller. This role gives a chance to be part of the ambitious and entrepreneurial environment of Private Equity.
Job Description
- Accounting of Waterland group companies (investment funds, management companies, feeder companies) with Exact Online and electronic banking software link
- Prepare financial statements of certain Waterland group companies together with Financial Controller
- Financial reporting to investors (yearly, quarterly, ad hoc) together with Financial Controller
- Assistance with (interim) audit (investment funds, management company)
- Financial reporting to other stakeholders (board of directors, banks, national and international regulators)
- Invoicing within the Waterland group; receivables and payables management
- Cash management, credit cards, expense statements
- Prepare tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, dividend withholding tax)
- Payroll of Dutch investment and Central Services team
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business economics or similar
- Minimum of three years of relevant working experience preferably within Accounting or in Trust
- Solid knowledge of Exact or equivalent Accounting systems
- Pro-active and pragmatic
- Team player
- Outstanding communicative skills
- Excellent in Dutch and English, oral and written, German or Polish would be nice
