INVESTMENT ANALYST
Description:
A challenging new opportunity for an Investment Analyst has arisen within a leading financial services company in Edinburgh. The role is for an initially 4 months and within the position you will be responsible for delivering key investment reports and accompanying analysis as appropriate for internal and external use.
Core Responsibilities:
- To support the Investment Reporting Manager in the fulfilment of the Investment strategy as appropriate including fund analysis as required.
- To provide a timely and professional reactive service for Investment Performance and Analysis requests from t other areas of the company.
- To proactively manage the removal and registration of funds when appropriate and to ensure correct fund information is provided to the industry.
- To liase with External and Internal Fund Managers for the provision of fund statistics, attribution, assets and holdings etc.
- To support the development and delivery of new and existing regular monthly reports, to internal and external customers in the most appropriate format.
- Web support, where required, to other business areas.
- Monitoring of funds in the context of our governance responsibilities; and the content management of external data providers such as Lipper/DT/FinEx etc

Core Requirements:
- An advanced knowledge of excel is required.
- Technical knowledge and business awareness (covered below

- A basic level of investment knowledge is required
- An excellent understanding of Microsoft Applications particularly excel is required
- The jobholder should have experience of developing delivering investment related reports of varying requirements within a financial services organisation.
- An investment qualification such as the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) is desirable.
