Investment Analyst

- Remuneration: $150-250k range with Significant Bonus Potential

Our Firm is a diversified funds management business focused on delivering exceptional long term absolute returns to our investors. We specialise in listed equities, managing in excess of $1 billion with five active strategies focused on the Australian Asia Pacific region. We are headquartered in Sydney, with additional offices in Melbourne and Asia. We have approximately 40 staff members including approximately 20 investment professionals.
The Role – Investment Analyst
You will be employed as an investment analyst in our top-ranked Australian Listed Equities Fund, with a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the best fund managers in the Australian market. You will be involved in both quantitative as well as qualitative analysis of listed companies with a view to absolute return investing. You will report directly to the fund managers.
In order to be successful in this role you will need to be a hard worker, independent thinker and team player. In addition, you will need to have:
- Ability to generate absolute returns
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional analytical skills
- A passion for analysing companies
- Good communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Analysing financial statements
- Building Financial projection models
- Meeting company management
- Contributing to team discussions
Qualifications Skill Requirements
In order to be successful in applying for this role, you will need to have ALL of the following:
- Minimum 5 years work experience, working for either a top-tier global investment bank, a fund manager or a top-4 accounting firm,
- Accounting major from an internationally recognised university with a distinction average and preferably a Chartered Accountant qualification
- Australian citizen and residents may only apply
