Investment Analyst

As a result of the continuing growth and complexity of the business, the position of Investment Analyst - Fixed Income, has been created. Working alongside the Senior Portfolio Manager – Fixed Income, you will together be responsible for management of CSC’s sizable Fixed Income Portfolios.
To date, CSC has invested across the Fixed Income spectrum, from Cash and Global Index funds through to Emerging Markets Credit. With the continual evolution in debt and credit based funds, CSC continues to explore new and emerging forms of investment.
In this broad based role, you will be expected to think like an investor – with reference not only to Fixed Income, but from a macro perspective, at all times focused on the best possible outcome for the fund. With specific reference to Fixed Income, you will be responsible for the asset class’s performance and valuation; research into new products; portfolio construction; manager selection, negotiation, implementation and monitoring; as well as identification of medium term trading opportunities and tilts.
You will have strong analytical skills combined with a well developed capability for financial modelling. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you will need to interact with the broader investment team and community. You will be self motivated and team oriented, with strong attention to detail. Most importantly, you will have a real appreciation for Fixed Income and its drivers.
To succeed in this role, it is anticipated that you will a minimum of 3 years experience gained in funds management, investment banking or a superannuation fund, combined with a qualification in Finance, Economics or Econometrics. Post Grad qualifications would also be advantageous.
