Investment Analyst (Data Team)

As an Investment Analyst in the Data Team you will be responsible for maintaining databases and tools used for internal monitoring and client reporting purposes. Liaising with associates in various teams will be a key aspect of the role.
The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Data collation and management:
– Maintenance and expansion of in-house databases
– Liaising with external data providers to create efficient data feeds
- Working with investment consulting and reporting teams to ensure data is accurate and up-to-date
Data interrogation:
– Using in-house databases and tools to analyse data for fiduciary mandates, funds business, and for management information and marketing purposes
– Assisting with the production of ad-hoc analytical reports as required
– Working with the Investment Systems team to create useful tools to query the data
Ensure all relevant procedures comply with Investment team quality standards
Provide ad-hoc administration duties as required within the Data Team

The Requirements:
Minimum of A-Level standard of Education (or equivalent), with good grades (minimum B) in Maths and English GCSE
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative when required, as well as in a team
To be comfortable and have the confidence to liaise with people at all levels
A results orientated individual who has a logical and analytical method of working
Confident computer user, comfortable learning new tools and programmes quickly
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office programmes and an interest in enhancing these skills
MS Access and SQL knowledge desirable
