The Newark office of Prudential Mortgage Capital Company is actively seeking bright and highly-motivated, recent (or soon-to-be) graduates from top undergraduate programs to join our team as Investment Analysts. The Real Estate Investment Analyst position is typically a three-year assignment. Based on business needs, strong performance and mutual agreement, one or two year extensions may occur. The CMBS Securitization team is responsible for the ultimate sale into commercial mortgage-backed securities. The successful candidates would play important and integral role on the team. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to learn and develop a broad range of financial, credit, real estate underwriting, analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide superior analytical support to senior members of the team on a wide variety of assignments, including cash flow modeling, risk analysis, property valuation, and extensive use of proprietary modeling and loan sizing templates.
- Coordinate with underwriting and due diligence teams on mortgage investment opportunities for PMCC, including preparation of investment information for securitization.
- Assist with all aspects of the securitization process, including the preparation of asset summaries, data tapes, answering of investor and rating agency questions as well the preparation for marketing of bonds.
- Interact professionally with internal credit, legal, and loan underwriting personnel, third-party service providers, investment banks, rating agencies and bond investors.

- Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new and proprietary applications.
- Excellent communication, team work and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and as an integral member of a deal team.
- Prior experience in the real estate and/or finance field is a plus.
- Knowledge of structuring tools, including Intex and Bloomberg is a plus.
