Investment Analyst, Pensions Investments recruitment
It has approximately £9bn of assets, which are managed by external investment managers and invested across a wide range of asset classes internationally.
The Scheme currently employs an in-house team of three investment specialists. Given the size and diversity of the assets, we are looking to recruit an investment analyst to support the management of investment risk and liability driven investment (LDI) strategies.
You will be responsible for analysing the risk and performance of the Scheme and will contribute to the management of important elements of the Scheme’s investment strategy, with a focus on investment risk and liability driven investment strategies.
You will contribute to the effective implementation of the strategy and the development of suggestions and recommendations for future strategy.
You’ll communicate on a regular basis with the Scheme’s LDI manager and investment consultant basis about the Scheme’s LDI strategy and risk levels, whilst monitoring the performance and risk of the overall Scheme.
You will also prepare appropriate reports for submission to and discussion with the Investment Committee. This will be an important role for the Scheme and will involve exposure to multiple asset classes.
Along with a financial qualification such as CFA, accountant or actuary, you will have a background in investment management, investment consultancy or finance. With excellent analytical skills, you will demonstrate a strong technical understanding of investment risk as it relates to pension funds.
You’ll also have practical experience of LDI strategies and a keen interest in financial markets.
