Investment Analyst – Public Equities recruitment
This post-MBA position is designed for an individual who, beyond having broad experience investing in public equities, has direct experience in quantitative modeling and is seeking the unique opportunity to learn and contribute to the investments strategy at LMGAMI.
Investment Analyst - Public Equities
As a member of Liberty Mutual's Public Equities team, the Investment Analyst will be responsible for:
- Optimizing multiple passive portfolios by tracking changes to equity indices and developing new strategies to enhance returns
- Backtesting various portfolio structures and assisting in the development of quantitative equity screens for use during the investment process
- Measuring performance of and monitoring risk in all of the portfolios
- Researching and implementing competitive investing and trading strategies employed by active quant, enhanced, and passive investment firms
Because the Investment Analyst will be part of a small team, various additional research projects will surface, including analytical work on classes of stocks and fundamental research of companies and industries.
- MBA required, with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative investment role.
- CFA highly preferred.
- Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, and back-testing and portfolio optimization programs such as BARRA, Northfield, or APT.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Seeking a highly collaborative individual who works well on a small team.
