Investment Analyst recruitment

IOOF operates four divisions including Financial advice and distribution, Platform Management and Administration, Investment Management, and Trustee. Within each division we promote a variety of brands including Bridges Financial Services, Consultum, Wealth Managers, Ord Minnett, Spectrum Super, Pursuit, Perennial Investment Partners Limited, IOOF MultiMixand Australian Executor Trustees (AET).
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Investment Analyst – Cash Fixed Interest to join the Investment division. Based in Melbourne, this role will see you reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement investment strategies to maximise performance within the cash and fixed interest sector
- Undertake regular monitoring and assessment of incumbent fund managers in the cash and fixed interest sector
- Employing various analytical tools as required
- Day to day management of portfolios including regular contact with fund managers, Investment Operations and Investment Accounting divisions
- Development of product initiatives, and provide assistance to the Product division with product initiatives
- Providing assistance to the Marketing Division with IOOF Funds marketing activities
- Preparation of Research and Investment papers, including comprehensive monthly reports
- Assist the Sales and Product Divisions by providing investment information to assist with Financial Adviser presentations and queries
To be successful in this role you will have experience with a fund manager/superannuation fund preferably with Multi Investment Management experience, combined with an Economics or Finance qualification and PS146 training although other candidates with other skills and experience may be considered. Also financial modelling experience and skills, sound knowledge of investment products and fund management process and strong understanding of Portfolio Construction and optimisation techniques are preferred. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, highly developed computer skills and strong decision making skills. You will also have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Post graduate qualifications in economics/finance or CFA are desirable.
