In pursuit of our broader mission of patient care and scientific research, we oversee long-term investment assets in excess of $3 billion. These assets are invested in a sophisticated mix of diversified strategies on a global basis, are overseen by a committee of the Board and are stewarded by the Investment Management Division.
The Investment Analyst will be an integral member of the investment team with primary responsibility for providing investment research and support for the Chief Investment Officer and other senior members of the group. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our work with investment managers across all asset classes (including global equities, hedge funds, fixed income, private equity, venture capital and real assets) as well as on portfolio-wide activities (including asset allocation and risk management) in support of the team-oriented approach of the Investment Management Division.
Key Activities
- Working with team members in monitoring existing investments and developing extensive analytical reports on the portfolio to assess the performance of all managers and funds
- Assisting senior team members with the screening and due diligence of prospective external investment managers across strategies and around the globe
- Coordinating with colleagues in preparing and delivering a variety of reports (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Evaluating investment opportunities by sector, stage, and geography and presenting research
- Identifying, evaluating, implementing, and managing investment tools and resources used in connection with investment and manager tracking
Key Skills and Experiences
- A minimum of 2 years of training from a top-tier financial analyst program (preferably investment banking)
- Rigorous analytical training, advanced research, critical reasoning, and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines across a broad set of time frames
- Expert level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and/or experience in capital markets
- Demonstrated leadership potential
- High degree of judgment
- Superior written communication skills
- Exceptional track record of academic accomplishments
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (supported by a degree in math, science, or engineering)
- Proficient in use of investment performance and portfolio statistics
