JOB DESCRIPTION
IFC’s Department of Special Operations handles the workouts of jeopardy investments. The Investment Analyst will work closely with the Department’s Investment Officers who are responsible for the design, negotiation and subsequent completion/closing of restructurings, settlements and sales of the Corporation's jeopardy projects. He/she will assist the Investment Officers in all aspects of their work, including: preparing financial models, reconstituting the relevant historical files and ensuring the ongoing workout files are complete; analyzing historical and projected financial statements; conducting industry and market research; reviewing company, economic and financial information; preparing documents required for IFC's investments, including project proposals and term sheets; and participating in negotiations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced university degree (specialization in Finance preferred), and 2+ years experience with a top tier financial institution or firm, including creating financial models; experience in restructurings, turnarounds or distressed asset investment is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions
- Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback and new ideas.
*The position is based in Hong Kong and requires occasional international traveling.
