INVESTMENT ANALYST recruitment
Responsibilities
• Assist investment directors and fund managers to monitor PRC markets in terms of economic trends and / or PRC equities in seeking long-term capital growth.
• Achieve client mandated investment objectives by investing predominantly in listed equities or equity-related securities.
• Conduct China A H shares research.
• Conduct ffundamental research of companies in the designated markets / sectors. This includes quantative analysis of corporate balance sheets, operating parameters, financial parameters, earnings model, valuation model, etc., of companies in our investment radar.
• Identify companies which have core competency in the changing business environment and have potential of delivering sustained earnings over a longer period of time. As part of the analysis, the responsibility includes meeting company managements and visiting company’s manufacturing facilities.
• Identify macroeconomic trends of the regional economics and analyse corporate development and make good judgement of earnings outlook.
• Make own investment decisions in simple matters within agreed limits.
• Attend regular team weekly and quarterly investment meetings and contribute to discussions, provide administrative support to Investment Directors and Fund Managers by monitoring the model portfolios and maintaining spreadsheets, financial models, updating market and securities database, preparing weekly/quarterly reports, and assisting in preparing materials for investment meetings and client reports.
Requirements
• University degree holder, preferably with CFA qualification.
• 5-8 years buy side or sell side research experience.
• Exposure in Asia ex Japan market including PRC.
• Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Articulate, presentable and showing initiative.
• Strong team player.
• Good analytical skills.
• Strong PC skills.
