Investment Analyst – Tier One Hedge Fund -( Associate to VP Level) recruitment
Our client is a premier hedge fund, based in central London. They manage significant multi-billion assets across a broad range of sectors and adopt both long short and long only investment strategies. The fund has continued to make significant returns for investors and is a private firm, operating a partnership structure.
They are now looking to add an Investment Analyst to their team, who will work on the following:
- Responsibility for generating investment ideas in equities for the long/ short and long only fund
- Equity research of potential investments, writing investment cases
- Financial modelling, valuation, detailed financial analysis
- Meeting with management of companies, carrying out fundamental ‘bottom up’ investment research
- Liaising with fund managers, making recommendations to them and assisting with their investment decisions
They are interested in meeting people who will have a background as follows:
- Investment bankers with leading firms where you will work in MA
- Sell side equity research analysts from top investment banks
- Private equity professionals from one of the major funds
- Outstanding academic background
- Be able to convince, at interview, an absolute interest in investing
Candidates will probably have at least between 4 years experience since graduating, although the successful candidate could be at the VP level and have an MBA. We are not interested in those coming from other hedge funds.
