Investment Analyst_Principal/Director Level, Shanghai
Our client is a diversified global management and holding company with interests in the financial services industry in North America and Europe. Right now we are looking for a Principal/Director level analyst for its China subsidiary which is focusing on investing in China's public equity market, namely the A and H shares. Our client is renown for a long term value investor, focusing on deep analysis of companies' fundamentals. And it prides itself on its deep research capability and analytical rigor which set itself apart from peers.
Our client’s China subsidiary currently manages a $300 million fund that dedicates to China's A/H Share market, and plans to significantly enlarge its assets under management in the near future. In order to support the growth, we are seeking highly qualified professionals to join and build this growing platform which is led by a group of highly experienced, high caliber leadership team who are fully dedicated to providing exciting career opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Independently conduct research and analysis of publicly listed companies in China's A and H Share market by way of both primary and secondary research
- Conduct macro analysis and sector research
- Pitch investment ideas (stock pitching) to the management
- Preparing research and investment report to portfolio manager
- Monitor portfolio companies and raise sell/buy recommendations
- Coach and mentor the junior investment analyst
Requirements:
- 8 years’ Analyst/Associate experience in large global investment banks, including IBD and Equity Research, PE, and in top management consulting firms with strong performance track record
- Undergraduate degree from top universities with strong academic achievement
- Excellent research skills, structured thinking and analytical mind
- Excellent English skills (listening, reading, writing and oral English)
- Good communication and presentation skills, strong team work
- Willing to work under pressure
