Investment Associate, Corporate Finance recruitment

Prudential Capital Group will soon be opening a new office in Minneapolis, and is seeking an Investment Associate for this location. This position will report to the Investment Vice President of Corporate Finance. The position will initially be located in Chicago until the Minneapolis office opens. More details regarding the office location arrangements will be discussed with potential candidates.

Description Responsibilities:

Investment Associates at Prudential Capital play a critical part in business development, new transaction analysis and portfolio management. In this role, the Associate has the opportunity to not only leverage their existing background and career experiences, but also build and apply a unique blend of skills, including financial analysis, marketing, transaction structuring, negotiation and client management.

, The Associate will join a deal team that is responsible for:
· Business development/transaction origination: Generating new deal flow through direct calling efforts on CEOs, CFOs and Treasurers, and via intermediaries and private equity funds.
· New transaction analysis: Managing the credit review process, including financial modeling, creating and presenting written and oral analyses and coordinating internal approvals.
· Investment recommendation: Determining the appropriate credit quality, pricing decisions and investment amount for a particular company/transaction.
· Deal execution: Developing and negotiating the terms and structure of Prudential's investment and assisting with the documentation process.
· Portfolio management: Understanding the investments under management through active monitoring of company performance.

Skills

· An MBA ,or in pursuit of an MBA, with a focus/major within Finance, Investments or other quantitative subjects would be a plus
· Familiarity with the capital markets (knowledge of debt and equity security terms and valuation methodologies)
· Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills with a strong desire to make marketing calls and a natural ability to connect with people
· Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts® (CFA) program is a plus
