Investment Associate recruitment
Candidates will have at least 4 years' experience with top investment banks or buy-side institution. You will have several years' experience in dealing in leveraged and distressed transactions. You will also be proficient in at least one of French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and/or one of the Nordic languages.
Candidates will typically have 3 years' experience in Leverage Finance, Financial Sponsors, Structured Finance or Restructuring from top tier investment banks and restructuring houses; in addition they will also have 1 year's experience in an investment position within a credit or distressed debt fund.
The candidate will be joining a generalist principal investments team which focuses primarily on investments in Western Europe.
The analyst will:
- Research, analyze and evaluate a variety of investment opportunities for recommendation to the investment committee;
- Perform due diligence;
- Lead and assist on conducting financial analytics such as valuation and modelling, using a variety of methods, using key distressed valuation methodologies.
- Assist in negotiating and executing agreements and other transaction-related legal documentation;
- Monitor ongoing financial and operational performance of existing portfolio assets;
Assist in monitoring potential exit alternatives.
Summary:
- 4-6 years' experience with at least 1 year in an investment position at a credit or distressed debt fund;
- Strong numerical and analytical skills;
- strong understanding of distressed valuation methodologies; advanced financial modelling skills;
- Proficiency in an additional language is an advantage; particularly Western European and Nordic languages skills.
