Investment Bank – Counterparty Risk – Credit Risk – Manager recruitment

My Client is an international Investment Bank who are currently seeking an experienced professional to join their Traded Credit Risk team in the role of Counterparty Credit Risk Manager Asia-Pacific.

In this role, you will:
•Provide counterparty credit analysis on Banks and other Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI) clients for the Asia-Pacific region
•Coordinate Country Risk annual reviews on behalf of Group Risk
•Support the line manager with assessments of new money and transactional credit limit requirements for Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFI clients across the region, and provide recommendations off the back of this analysis
•Provide ongoing credit risk-related support and monitoring/MI requests for Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFIs across the region
•Proactively monitor Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFIs, across the region, ensuring appropriate management of deteriorating conditions in the portfolio and the factors influencing these circumstances, as well as appropriate dissemination of this MI to management
•Liaise with Group Risk (London) and local site risk management across the region, as well as Global Markets and Relationship Managers, in respect to all credit risk related issues associated with Banks, Sovereigns and other NBFI client sectors

Requirements:
•Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline
•At least two to five years' experience working in a bank or a financial institution, preferably in a trading risk management function specialising in Counterparty Credit Risk Analytics
•Working experience in a sophisticated investment bank with an in-depth understanding of derivative valuations and exposure measurement principles
•Solid understanding across all Global Markets products and risk mitigation techniques
•Strong grasp of derivatives legal documentation
•Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence with front office staff
•Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business
•Capacity to understand and interpret complex business requirements
•Good Windows OS and MS Office skills
