Investment Bank Vice President / Associate – Sell-side Advisory recruitment
This candidate must have experience working in a reputable investment bank and have direct client contact and responsibility. Additionally, candidates must have experience in running an execution process internally and being participatory in marketing pitches, client calls and meetings. Desired Skills Experience
Vice President Responsibilities
• Structure and negotiate sell-side agreements for lower middle market companies.
• Have been the point person and chief negotiator on a number of deals (preferably with considerable sell-side experience)
• Critically analyze financial statements, models, reports and company forecasts.
• Assist Principals, Directors and Vice Presidents in searching for and recommending new business through research and financial analyses.
• Participate in selling/pitch process to new clients.
• Analyze client business plans, debt capacity, competitive positioning and strategy, key-contracts and relationships, and regulatory considerations.
• Manage a team to ensure all phases of execution are completed and / or delegated appropriately.
Vice President Qualifications
• M.B.A. desired
• Minimum 5-7 years prior work experience preferred; at least 4 year of investment banking services industry experience required
• Relevant advisory experience
• Strong financial statement analysis with attention to detail
• Detailed knowledge of corporate finance and the field of restructuring
• Broad-based exposure to the full range of issues that arise in sell-side engagements, refinancings and capital raises.
Associate Responsibilities
As an integral part of the deal team, the Associate will manage analysts to ensure timely delivery of key transaction deliverables, interface with clients and potential buyers / investors and drive transaction results. The Associate responsibilities include: conducting company due diligence, drafting marketing documents (information memorandums, teasers, management presentations, etc.), researching industry trends and data, financial modeling and analysis, and supporting senior deal team members with potential buyer meetings, deal negotiations, valuation, structuring, etc.
The candidate will need to possess exceptional financial modeling and writing skills, an understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting, as well as outstanding communication and client management skills.
Associate Requirements
1. 2-5 years experience in investment banking or Big Four accounting
