Investment Banker – Associate or VP for Hedge Funds recruitment
Our client are looking to hire a top class investment banking trained candidate who can apply fundamental investment valuations and techniques to investing in hedge funds. The candidate can come from an ECM/DCM, MA, Structured Finance or Equity Research business.
The role will involve working with the senior research team in selecting suitable hedge fund managers.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the analysis of information gathered through interacting with Hedge Fund managers
- Develop an in depth understanding of the range of hedge fund strategies and the products they trade
- Conduct due diligence of hedge fund legal documentation, monitor industry publications for information and run the interview process with Hedge Fund managers
- Analyse the macro market picture as well as monitoring all other sources of information that are relevant to the hedge fund universe
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics/statistics from top tier University
- Desire to complete the CFA program
- The ability to work with individuals at all levels in the organisation
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- The ability to quickly build a network within and outside the firm
They are looking to hire someone at the equivalent to a senior associate or VP1 and a consistent work history coupled with the additional criteria is essential.
