Job Description

We are looking for Associates to join our Real Estate Investment Banking teams in our New York office.

 

Associates’ responsibilities include:

(i) developing client proposals and work with engaged clients on their transactions

(ii) conducting company analysis from a financial, operational and industry perspective

(iii) drafting offering memorandum and manage the internal deal process

(iv) Working directly with Senior bankers and managing the Analyst work product.

Oppenheimer provides Associates with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients.  Associate can expect to be involved in a variety of transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and restructuring assignments.  Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, providing Associates with opportunity to play a significant role in the deal handling the day-to-day activities and overseeing the Analyst work product.

Successful candidates will have previous work experience in Investment Banking with a background in Real Estate.  Successful candidates will be smart, with particularly strong quantitative, writing and interpersonal skills. Candidates need to be comfortable working in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. We take a very team-oriented approach to investment banking, and focus on chemistry in our hiring process.  Candidates should hold their Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
