Investment Banking – Energy recruitment
We are seeking experienced Ananlysts, Associates, Vice Presidents and Managing Directors for Energy Investment Banking teams in Houston. Industries covered may include: Oil Gas, Up-streamEP, AD, Oilfield Services, Mid-Stream, Down-stream, natural resources and or alternative energy.
Managing Director: MD's without previous MA experience in energy will not be considered. Candidates must excel at both selling and execution, must have strong industry knowledge and experience, and able to leverage existing client relationships. The ideal candidate would have been a chemical or geological engineer in a previous life and now working as an MD with a top-ranked investment bank covering energy, oil and gas or natural resources. The person must be technically excellent and a self-starter. Must have a book of business and a rolodex of clients. Must have demonstrated leadership and a track record of executing MA advisory transactions. The Managing Director will lead the deal team through all stages of the transaction process, from origination sourcing through execution and delivery.
Vice President: Must have completed an Investment Banking Associate program or currently have a seat as an Investment Banking Vice President - resumes without this requirement will not be considered. Prefers a background from another bulge-bracket investment bank. Prefer a background in oilfield services, industrials, energy or a demonstrated overall passion for energy finance. The Vice President will be responsible for the development and execution of MA and restructuring transactions both domestically and in collaboration with international counterparts. Industries covered may include: Oil Gas, Up-streamEP, AD, Oilfield Services, Mid-Stream, Down-stream, natural resources and or alternative energy. Preference for candidates with engineering background and/or an MBA from a top university.
Associate: Must have completed an Investment Banking Analyst program or currently have a seat as an Investment Banking Associate - resumes without this requirement will not be considered. Prefers a background from another bulge-bracket investment bank in Energy, EP, or a demonstrated overall passion for energy finance. Engineering degrees or MBA from top schools Preferred. Associates will lead the analysts and liaise with senior bankers to oversee execution of transactions including acquisition divestiture (AD), mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financings, public offerings, private placements, and other strategic transactions.
Analyst: Must currently have a seat as an Investment Banking Analyst - resumes without this requirement will not be considered. Prefers a background from another bulge-bracket investment bank in Energy, EP, or a demonstrated overall passion for energy finance. Analysts must be masters of financial modeling and have proven ability to read, digest and analyze financial statements, research, headlines and press releases to construct financial models for the purpose of MA transactions. Analysts must be able to work independently and available beyond normal business hours to support senior bankers in transactions. Beyond the financial modeling, analysts will work on creating pitch books and other marketing materials, attend client meetings and road-shows and generally support the deal teams.
