Investment Banking: Experienced Analyst recruitment

Marcum Cronus is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join its Boston or New York City teams. This is a position ideal for an exceptional, highly motivated, intelligent and energetic individual with two to three years of prior investment banking experience and requires a minimum two-year commitment. Ideally, the candidate would be an exceptional performer with a demonstrated interest in banking and would be looking for an opportunity for a long-term career path with the Firm, without the requirement of an MBA for advancement.  The firm would look to promote the candidate to Associate after a six-month evaluation period.

The primary responsibilities of the position are to manage active engagements, construct financial models, conduct research and financial and transaction analyses, write information memorandums, and train the Firm’s entry level hires. Analysts at Marcum Cronus are given high exposure to senior members of the firm and interact directly with clients on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will possess:

The Firm will provide training to gain the appropriate securities licenses and such other training as the Firm deems is required in matters related to accounting and finance; however, the majority of the training will be on the job training.

The opportunity is likely to appeal to a candidate interested in investment banking in a boutique environment where all bankers are expected to be able to identify potential clients, interact with existing clients, and manage complex execution assignments. Deal teams typically consist of two or three bankers, and each member of the team must be able to operate successfully at all levels of the investment banking business.
