Investment Banking Operations, Associate — Currencies Settlements Team Lead recruitment
Investment Bank Operations Currencies team is responsible for the settlements processing client servicing of FX, NDF and Option trades. We cover all locations across the Asia region, also supporting a population of EMEA clients.
The core operation covers the Cash Settlement for FX, NDF's and FX Options
The successful candidate will be working in Asia-Pacific Client Services for Settlements, investigations and CLS.
The functions of this team are: maintenance of client business reference data, the generation of cash settlements, oversight of 'Continuous Link Settlement' processing and management of team members who support the desk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong people management/supervisory skills.
- Confident with delivering feedback and appraisals
- Building and sustaining, strong working relationships with internal lines of business within Currencies and Middle office groups
- Understand and ensure compliance with, control and regulatory requirements
- Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives
- Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities in daily workflow
- Verbally confirming trade details via the phone
- To proactively identify any recurring issues and escalate accordingly
- Ownership and resolution of all exceptions and queries relating to Currencies Trades Ensuring that all payments are settled correctly and in a timely manner
- Resolving any outstanding breaks in the Nostro accounts
- Identifying and investigating any root causes
- Establishing an excellent relationship with clients
Skills
- Exposure to Currencies products would be an advantage
- Experience with MS Office packages is a benefit, particularly Access and Excel
- The candidate will be numerate with excellent keyboard skills and a high level of computer literacy
- It is essential the candidate is an effective and confident communicator
- The candidate will be required to work under pressure and with initiative
- The candidate will also be aware of the large financial risks that are incurred through operational errors and negligence
- It is essential that the candidate is able to maintain a high level of accuracy and follow control procedures at all times
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate and actively prioritise workflow

Experience Required:
- Currencies knowledge is required
- Asia Language skills would be an advantage
