Investment Banking Specialist (m/f)
The position, which will be at Associate/VP level, is based in Switzerland (Zurich area), and the future IB Specialist will be responsible for analyzing prospective projects in terms of business requirements, taking into consideration the existing business plans, market studies, organizational structure, management, legal aspects, environmental issues, country specifics, credit and other risk management aspects and making recommendations about the viability of each investment project.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work and prioritize tasks under pressure. We are looking for a multi-tasking, self-disciplined, self-motivated and problem solver person with an analytical thinking. Business intelligence, experience of various sectors of the economy, excellent capacity to analyze and document complex business processes, flexibility as well as the wish to work in a small but growing company are indispensable.
Duties and responsibilities
- Analyse projects and business cases and make adequate recommendations
- Structure required financings of a project or business case, including the preparation of all required documentation thereon:
• road show presentations to potential investors
• private placement memorandum, prospectus or equivalent
• financial analysts’ reports with recommendations to buy or sell financial instruments
• financial scenarios
- Develop adequate financing plans as required by business plans
Skills and specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or any related field from an accredited institution (Master’s degree in Business Administration would be a plus)
- Advanced skills in MS Office(especially in Excel)
- Strong experience in working in MA, transaction support or equivalent at a big-four accounting firm or equivalent (Banking)
- Ability to gather and interpret relevant information such as annual reports, business plans and other technical financial information
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Native Portuguese or Spanish speaker, excellent command of Business English
- Preferential age between 35 and 50years
- Availability as soon as possible
