Investment Banking Technology, Associate — Business Analyst/Project Manager (Derivatives Core Processing) recruitment
This role is for a Project Manager/Business Analyst who will provide support for the Derivative Core Processing Platform (DCPP) for Core Processing Technology focused on building out Back Office platform to support Derivatives Currencies asset classes across the APAC region. The role also includes supporting the existing legacy applications as they are migrated into the new platform as well as the ongoing work slate. Managing the business relationships with Operations/Finance both regionally and globally is also key to the role.
The DCPP program will cover a number of significant end-to-end projects; there will be interaction across front office systems to back office systems to finance systems to enable the automation of trade processing. The DCPP platform includes settlements, confirmations, accounting and regulatory reporting.
This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to implement Back Office systems in the world used in JPMorgan. There will be broad exposure across multiple lines of business and all JPMorgan Asia locations.
Role Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming regional demand from multiple lines of businesses, managing project resources globally (Singapore, Mumbai, UK) and working closely with Operations/Finance project managers. The successful candidate will have to understand system interactions, gathering commitments from other teams and managing stakeholders.
The role entails:
- Understanding the key back office systems used for derivatives and currencies.
- Understanding system integration - particularly with the General Ledger and the Risk Management system.
- Managing a work slate of demand.
- Project initiation and planning, including scope negotiation with stakeholders
- Project Management, monitoring and status reporting (includes management of resources, priorities, issues and risks, scheduling, stakeholder communication).
- Coordinate and Chair Working Groups.
- Analyze and document technical and business requirements
- Testing: SIT UAT planning and management.
- Ensure compliance with CMM.
- Implementation planning management.
- Produce project deliverables
- Take part in decisions affecting long range organizational goals strategic planning.
The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, strong understanding of the project life cycle, how to obtain commitments from other teams, previous hands-on project management experience.
Skills
- Familiarity with Investment products: derivatives, FX.
- Minimum of 4 years of technology project management experience
- Experience with full project life cycle development, proven track record in technology delivery
- Minimum of 4 years of Business Systems Analysis and documentation (includes documentation of end-user requirements, designing and writing use cases, component design descriptions and process flow diagrams)
- Extensive business and data analysis skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with process analysis and design
- Experience documenting end-user requirements across multiple lines of business (as use cases and functional requirements)
- Excellent presentation, communications, partnering, and interpersonal skills
- College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
