INVESTMENT COMMUNICATIONS COPYWRITER
Description:
A challenging new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Communications Copywriter to join the Investment Solutions department of an Edinburgh based financial services company.
The successful individual will join initially on a 6 months contract, and be responsible for helping to maintain investment communications materials to support our client’s fund range and investment proposition.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supporting Marketing Communications teams in delivering investment communications in accordance with the brief, and to time, cost and quality standards.
- Ensuring accuracy and alignment with both customer expectations and business strategy.
- Ensuring appropriate investment communication messages, both written and verbal, are implemented and delivered to appropriate internal and external customers.
- Ensuring corporate guidelines, processes and business objectives are adhered to.
- Ensuring communications material is compliant with fund promotion rules and follows Treating Customers Fairly guidelines.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery to the agreed specification within deadlines.
- Delivering to tight deadlines when there are a range of concurrent projects. The jobholder's input to projects should be appropriate, customer focused and timely
- Ensuring all published investment communications are compliant.

Core Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong project management skills are necessary in order to meet internal and external customer expectations, and address requirements.
- Copy editing and proof reading, planning, communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
- A good level of investment knowledge is needed to enable production or copy editing of fund related content, and to support all areas within the wider department. In this regard an understanding of life and pension, and OEIC funds, macro and micro economics and investment/fund management is beneficial.
- Experience within an investment communications environment would be preferable.
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- The jobholder should be familiar with and have a basic understanding of web based delivery systems.
- Analytical skills are required to assess statistical data.
- The jobholder is likely to have gained the IMC.
- The jobholder should have some knowledge of the workplace pension environment.
