Investment Consultant

As a client-facing representative, you will work closely with senior colleagues to deliver a variety of high quality services to clients, and to acquire new business. These services include: strategic setting of investment objectives, strategic asset allocation, investment management structures, manager selection, risk hedging and protection strategies, performance measurement and evaluation, investment manager monitoring, custodian selection, transition advice, statements of investment policy and global research services.
You will support and independently generate new business revenue by developing new business opportunities and enhancing existing relationship. You will liaise closely with clients, fund managers and other areas of the firm and take responsibility for the day-to-day management of client relationships (supported by other consultants and investment analysts as appropriate). You will support the provision of training to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the investment industry and institutional investment processes, with relevant experience gained either at an investment management firm, consultancy, or other firm conducting similar types of analysis
- An interest and passion for quantitative and qualitative assessments and its use in opinion forming and the provision of advice
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Appreciation of the importance of well written and documented data and evidence
- Perfect German and strong English spoken and written language skills are required
- Well organised and detail oriented
- Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
- Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation
- Sense of accountability; owning one’s work and taking pride in it
- Self-starter; interest in continually challenging oneself and willingness to step outside of one’s comfort zone
- Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Strong academic background
