INVESTMENT CONSULTANTS

The role of the Financial Advisor is to establish value-added relationships with customers, to understand their financial needs and to offer solutions for those needs. Financial Advisors are responsible for helping and assisting clients which encompass the following areas:
• Funding for a secure retirement
• Funding for child’s or grand child’s educations
• Growth above inflation and taxes
• Providing liquidity of assets for unexpected / large scale healthcare expense
• Protection of assets from unnecessary taxation if possible
• Prospects within the financial institution by establishing relationships with customer contact
associates to find appropriate customers and introduce them.
• Engages in activities that enable access to those customers who may not frequently use the
branch system.
• Prospects outside the financial institution in order to bring in new customer relationships.
• Sells effectively by establishing relationships with customers, finding their needs and then
offering appropriate solutions in a way so the customer understands the value, understands
the features and benefits of the solution.
• Engages in relationship management activities so that relationships are nurtured and
expanded, additional needs are met and friends and relatives are freely referred.
• Provide sound advice as an Investment Consultant to clients by informing them of current
market trends and recommending the most appropriate investment strategies to meet their
individual needs based on current market conditions.
• Promote to all First Financial employees the products and services offered by the broker-
dealer. This is accomplished by providing constant coaching, training, and other activities
that build rapport, confidence and trust in our team’s ability to meet their expectations.
• Maintains compliance with First Financial Holdings’ Code of Business Conduct and Ethics,
and Association policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with First Southeast Investor Services Compliance Manual and all
Policies and Procedures of the Firm.
Requires bachelor’s degree in business administration or related area or acceptable equivalent work experience. Must possess FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 66 (preferably) or Series 63, and Life and Health Insurance designation; and 3 years related experience in a financial advisor position or similar position.
