Investment Data Analyst
The role will work with the Investment teams to ensure the timely provision and validation of a broad range of financial data (including pricing, instrument, client, and reference data) in a variety of systems.
This will include setting-up and maintaining all aspects of security, pricing, client and counterparty data on internal systems and interacting with global data management personnel, regional operations teams and investment personnel on a daily basis to ensure security data needs are met.
As well as the day-to-day execution of daily reports, this role will help to analyze and resolve any data exception reports and assists in defining, implementing and performing quality controls around data elements utilised in the investment decision-making process. As the firm is growing its international business, this team is taking greater responsibility for the co-ordination and implementation of global standards used across regional offices.
The successful candidate needs to have the inter-personal capabilities and relationship building skills to work effectively with the Front Office teams, as well as liaise with internal and external data providers. The right character will also have the opportunity to get involved in special projects as the business continues to develop irts international infrastructure.
To be considered for this role you must have the following experinece skills:
- A minimum of three years of work experience within a smiliar role at a leading asset manager. A solid understanding of equity, fixed income and derivatives is required for the role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, VBA and Bloomberg. A working knowledge of SQL is a significant plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, organised, and a self starter who can work well with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced and ambiguous environment, working with multiple and diverse responsibilities.
- Excellent judgment and analytical ability to analyse issues quickly and independently to take appropriate action under varied time constraints.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
